Probably many of the readers may know that A blog is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries.
1. Be Prepared Mentally
You gotta be prepared for what you are about to do. Get the general idea what blogs are and keep your mind at peace. You shouldn’t over-excite yourself or over except results early on. I’ve seen many people fail while over expecting things. So, keep this in mind if you want to start a blog.
2. Choose a Niche
One of the most important things is to choose a Niche. There are different fields, ideas, and paths one can take to share the information. Niche simply means the select field for which you would share your information /ideas /experiences. This can be Tech, Fashion, Sports and so on, you get the idea.
It is not a rule of thumb that we should choose just ‘a Niche’.If you are capable of sharing ideas about different Niche’s without under-committing in any one then you can do it. It’s all up to you. The point you should always focus is, your visitors are everything and make them wanting more from you.
3. Choose a Suitable Platform
A blogging platform is a base where you want to build your blogs. As a starter, there are quite a few things you should consider while choosing your platform. A beginner should choose a platform which is easy and need no codes for blog creation. You should also choose what is feasible for your kind of Niche. Personally, I choose WordPress as it suits my requirements. These are lists of popular platforms to start a blog :
I suggest you use WordPress.org because it is the best and popular platform to start a fresh blog. Many of the bloggers out there are using WordPress to build their blogs. It is easy to build a site and handle it.
4. Keep Patience
Nowadays, people are losing their patience in blogging. They wanted to earn more and more money and they failed. So, If you keep patience you can do blogging. You have to rank your site in the search engines which is very tough but if you have patience, you can rank your site. All you need to do is write tons of content and keep patience.
5. Content is the King
Most important thing for your blog is the content you put in it. Content matters above all in blogging. If you offer quality content then you won’t miss visitors on your blog. You should choose quality over quantity. If you do so, then your blogs will certainly get the rewards it deserves. Blogs are all about sharing your words with your viewers. You must work on maintaining your views with similar interests and ideals. That way you will thrive. If you try to accompany visitors with different interests then they won’t be with you always.
6. SEO and research
Now that you have taken your initial steps. You have to have the knowledge about Search Engine Optimization. It means you have to make your blog such that google or other search engines favor it. For that, you have to optimize your blogs. It I will be doing a separate article on SEO for beginners but for now just research for yourself, you will find several helpful blogs regarding it.
